Deliveries season

So since last post many things have happened and many latex gloves have been ripped, soaked in oil and eventually binned.
Barrells and cylinder head went back on, and slowly all other bits and pieces have been screwed, clamped and fitted on the Dommie. I’d say that around 60% of nuts, screws and fittings have been re-used. Some were replace even if not really needed… but who doesn’t like a bit of shiny metal! And stainless steel is very much appreciated in these British machines; if I have the option I’ll always go for stainless.

Waiting for some spare parts I did a bit of painting job on the lower part pf the frame. Some serious rubbing had been going on so I grabbed a few sheets of sanding paper and got it down to bare metal. Four layers of primer followed, and then three glossy black sprayings. It looks pretty good now!!

Currently I am not waiting for any more parts. I think I got all I need and the engine is turning freely and nothing seems to be a potential hazard for the first kick start!!
